Egads, two updates in one day! It’s nice to have work that isn’t under a NDA to show for a change.
Here are the colors for the Frankentein’s monster tee I mentioned earlier today (I have a heap more colorways on my Flickr page if you’re my friend there):
Placement:
Inks so far. I wanted to set a cyborg monster against the traditional backdrop and typical marauding villagers. There’s something about the juxtaposition of old and new that twists the original narrative enough for me to find it worth revisiting!
I diverged a bit from my original intent with the torches and pitchfork. It’s a risk to veer away from your pencils, but I think the end result (so far) is looking good. The background elements will be outline-less and largely consisting of color punched out of the negative space; they’ll be more defined during coloring.
I’m aiming for an end result like this older piece of mine:
The brief calls for a three color final image. I intend to use the shirt color to my full advantage making it seem like a four color design.
